IT'S FINALLY DONE!! This took me SO long to do! You can see all my work in progress and read the story here: [link][link][link][link]
This is 100% ceramic. I basically used all methods available to the ceramic user to make this: Coil for the baby, Pinch for the stem and umbilical cord, Soft Slab for the leaf, and Wheel Thrown for the apple itself.
Closeups of the baby: [link] [link] Baby-165602124?q=gallery%3Afrodomeg%2F167529&qo=23
The baby, leaf, and stem were painted with a velvet underglaze and the rest is majolica, all fired at Cone 04.
The Apple is 15.5"x9"x13.5" The Baby is 12"x7"x6"
--Update--
A DD?!?!?!?! Aaaaawmaigawd! I am sooooo shocked! I never thought this would ever happen! Thank you everyone who is faving, commenting, and viewing. And special thanks to the beautiful for featuring me :3
--EDIT!--
Finally got a camera that is decent, so I thought I'd update the photo with one you can actually SEE the details on! Woohoo! I'll be putting up better pics of the other views and fixing the links in the above description later.
Thanks so much, sweetheart! And don't say you can't do something, you can do anything you put your mind to! This thing broke so many times on me I almost gave up every single day. All you have to do is keep going at it and as the great Chumbawumba once said, "I get knocked down, but I get up again," And you should post some of your ceramics because I would love to see them!
Wonderful.
