Hello everyone! I can't believe I haven't written a new journal in almost 2 years! Yikes. Well, the majority of 2012 was an artless time for me. I seem to have broken out of that rut, though, and I'm not exactly sure how that happened. I was online and for some reason I had the urge to watch doll face-up videos which got me thinking about ball-jointed dolls. I have never owned a ball-jointed doll or actually seen one in person (unless you count a barbie doll but nooooo) so I started searching for how-to's and stock-piling reference photos. Phew! What a month! First of all, I'd like to thank `LabyrinthCreations (https://www.deviantart.com/labyrinthcreations) for my first DD!!!!!!! And thank you to everybody that faved and commented, it really made me feel like I am worth something in the art community. The same piece that I got my DD on: :thumb259561295: was put in a judged art show and I didn't win anything, not even an honorable mention (though most that won were questionable in my eyes) and that made me sad, but I kept telling myself that more people have seen my piece than any of the winners. Welp, it's been over a year since I've updated my journal, so here goes! I'm doing mostly digital art these days, mainly because I've opened an art shop on Gaia and I'm doing commissions.
